TRAVEL
The nearest airport is the Bodrum-Milas International Airport (BJV).
Bodrum is easy to reach from almost anywhere in the world. Many guests will find it simplest to fly via Istanbul, where Turkish Airlines operates frequent connections to Bodrum. Turkish Airlines flies directly to Istanbul from numerous international hubs in the US, Europe, and beyond.
That said, you do not need to fly Turkish Airlines or route via Istanbul. There are many alternatives depending on your departure city and preferences: British Airways via London, Lufthansa via Germany, and several European and regional carriers operating direct or seasonal flights into Bodrum, including Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress, and easyJet.
We chose this date to make it easier to turn the wedding into a longer holiday. If you’re able to, we’d love for you to use the trip as an excuse to explore Turkey (and the region), settle in, relax, and enjoy Bodrum beyond the wedding day.
To join us for the Wednesday Welcome Cocktail, we recommend arriving in Bodrum no later than Wednesday morning, September 9, 2026, but please come earlier if you’d like - we’ll be there.
STAY
The Bodrum peninsula offers a wide range of accommodation options across its many coves. You’re welcome to stay wherever suits you best. Below are the main areas and options to consider:
Türkbükü
Türkbükü is deeply personal to us. Aslıgül has spent nearly every summer here since childhood, first learning to swim in its clear Aegean waters. It’s known for its walkable seaside setting, beach clubs, restaurants, and boutiques.
No:81 Hotel
Our wedding venue is operated by No:81 Hotel in Türkbükü, which will serve as our home base for the wedding week. We would love for as many guests as possible to stay here (or nearby) so we can spend more time together throughout the celebrations.
Transfers to and from the wedding will depart from No:81 Hotel and take approximately 45 minutes.
No:81 is offering preferred wedding guest rates, available on a first-come, first-served basis for bookings made by March 31, 2026. To inquire, please contact reservation@no81hotel.com and mention the wedding of Aslıgül Armağan & Josh Braunreuther on September 10, 2026.
Divan Bodrum
Located next door to No:81, Divan Bodrum is another excellent option and is also offering preferred wedding guest rates for bookings made by March 31, 2026. Please contact the hotel directly and mention the wedding when inquiring.
Other recommended hotels within easy walking distance include:
Central Bodrum
For guests who prefer to stay closer to central Bodrum, we recommend The Marmara Bodrum. Set on a hillside overlooking Bodrum Bay, the hotel is a short taxi ride from the town’s bustling shops, restaurants, and nightlife, and approximately 25 minutes from the wedding venue.
The hotel is offering preferred wedding guest rates for bookings made by March 31, 2026. To inquire, please contact gaytac@themarmarahotels.com and mention the wedding of Aslıgül Armağan & Josh Braunreuther on September 10, 2026.
Other Areas
There are many other lovely hotels and Airbnbs across the peninsula. Popular nearby areas include Gölköy, Gündoğan, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, and Torba, each offering a different atmosphere. Wherever you choose to stay, we recommend booking accommodation early, as September is a busy travel season in Bodrum.
If you have any questions about travel or accommodation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly – we would love to help in any way we can!
TRANSPORT
Airport transfers
Taxis are available directly outside the airport exit. A ride from Bodrum–Milas Airport to the Türkbükü area cost around 1,000 TRY last year, though prices may vary due to inflation.
If you prefer, most hotels can arrange a private airport transfer in advance.
To make an advance booking yourself, you can use Welcome Pickups.
Getting around Bodrum
Travel between Bodrum’s coves generally requires a car, as public transport is limited and not always easy for visitors to navigate. Renting a car is a great option if you plan to explore the area. Rental cars are available at Bodrum–Milas Airport through major providers such as Sixt, Enterprise, Avis, and Europcar.
Taxis are plentiful and easy to use throughout the area. They operate in Turkish Lira and are cash only. We recommend keeping your destination address on your phone to show drivers, as English may be limited.
VISAS
UK and US nationals do not need a visa to enter Turkey, however, other guests may need an electronic visa to enter Turkey. This should be a 10-minute process you can complete online:
CURRENCY
The local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY), available at airport ATMs and exchange counters. Euros are also widely accepted in Bodrum. We recommend arriving with cash or withdrawing at the airport, as local ATMs can be unreliable.
